Hello lovely readers, it’s such a privilege to be here. 🤭🥳 Many thanks to the leadership of Eden House for such a grand opportunity 🥳 which I don’t take for granted. God began to speak to me about Strength as a prophetic weapon and I’ll share this with you but first, let me tell you a story.
There was a man I knew who wanted to build a house, he had all the money ready, all the expertise, all the cement, blocks, architectural designs, surveys, etc. On the day slated for the commencement of the building, he arrived at the sight to meet with the contractor, they exchanged pleasantries and the contractor told him that he had employed laborers, big and strong men who could work at double speed to ensure the quick completion of the edifice and that they’d be arriving shortly.
My friend was overjoyed at the enthusiasm, zeal, and work ethic of the contractor. Not too long from then, two trucks could be seen dancing on the horizon, making their way through the terrain, toward the sight, the laborers had arrived! They started to troop down and in their numbers, all 500 of them but amazingly, something was wrong! All the laborers were less than 2 feet tall, with gangly arms, tired faces, and huge lunch bags. My friend couldn’t believe his eyes😂 on further questioning, it was discovered that all the laborers were children under 5! Imagine my friend’s face😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Are you a laborer in God’s vineyard?
You didn’t see it coming abi? I know😂😑
Has God given you God-sized visions and dreams, has He given you nations to take and territories to invade? Are you at a loss on how to achieve these dreams? Have you started and stopped because stuff wasn’t working out? Have you laughed at those instructions? Have you given up? Do the challenges look insurmountable?
Then you, my friend, are the candidate for this expression, you need Strength!
What then is Strength?
Strength applies to the quality or property of a person or thing that makes possible the exertion of force or the withstanding of strain, pressure, or attack. Someone’s strength in a difficult situation is their confidence or courage. You need strength of mind to stand up for yourself.
Synonyms: will, spirit, resolution, resolve, fortitude.
The strength of an object or material is its ability to be treated roughly, or to carry heavy weights, without being damaged or destroyed.
The strength of a person, organization, or country is the power or influence that they have. Strength refers to the inherent capacity to act upon or affect something, to endure, to resist, etc. [the strength to lift something, tensile strength]; power, somewhat more general, applies to the ability, latent or exerted, physical or mental, to do something [the power of the press, of a machine, etc.]; force usually suggests the actual exertion of power, esp. in producing motion or overcoming opposition.
Strength is what you need to achieve destiny projects.
Strength can be a currency.
Strength carries you to the finish line.
Strength preserves you, and leaves you fresh until the finish line.
I hear you asking, “How then can I get Strength?”
In roads to strength
1) Joy
When I think about Strength, the first thing that comes to mind is Joy! Joy unshaken! Unspeakable! Unhindered!
Because Strength is not the absence of bad days (days where you’d feel weak), Strength is what carries you above the intended outcome of those special days.
Scripture prescribes that the joy of the Lord is our Strength! Ayaaaa!
Joy! Joy! Joy!
“with joy, you draw from the wells of salvation”!
So on those seemingly bad days, unleash from your rivers, joy! Sing with a loud voice, rejoice with a loud noise, Dance with the sounds of playing instruments! Rejoice in the Lord! Again I say to you, Rejoice!
2) Oneness
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provide] Ephesians 6:10 (AMPC)
Intimacy — that close relationship — a consciousness of your union with the Lord arms you with the knowledge of the strength that’s available to you.
Think about a married couple, the wife has some work to do on the kitchen cabinets and she has called every carpenter in the vicinity to no avail. When her groom returns from his trip, she complains to him and he exclaims at how easy it’d be to solve the problem cause he has had a relationship with nails in the past. Together they work through it and in 30 minutes they’re done. His Strength became hers.
Recognizing, acknowledging, and leaning into the strength of your Lover makes you strong!💪
Say with me,
“In my union with Christ, I’m made strong!”
3)Vulnerability
Isaiah 53:4–5 says;
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
And Hebrews 4:15–16 (AMPC)
For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sin. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
I think these verses speak for themselves.🤭 Be vulnerable with the Lord at every point you’re weak, He understands.
4) Company
Good friends will rub off on you, just like rubbing a magnet against a metal and that metal picks up its magnetic properties. Please pray consistently for stronger friends!
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. (Proverbs 27:17 NLT)
In conclusion, I bring to you this scripture,
Isaiah 40:31; But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Please take time to wait on the Lord in this season strength is made available in the waiting!
